Colart have been the exclusive global distributor of Arches fine art ranges since 2017, and prior to that the non-exclusive distributor during 2015 and 2016. During that time, we have used the strength of the distribution of our fine art brands, in particular Winsor & Newton, across multiple geographies and channels to develop the Arches business.
At the expiry of the current distribution contract at the end of 2019, Arches have decided to move the distribution of their fine art ranges to F.I.L.A. where they will benefit from being part of F.I.L.A.’s paper businesses of Pacon (Strathmore), Canson and St Cuthbert’s. Under the terms of Colart’s current distribution contract, Colart retains the right to continue to sell Arches products to its customers around the world for a period of two years after the termination of the contract i.e. until the end of 2021.
Colart is committed to maintaining normal levels of supply of the Arches fine art product ranges that it distributes to customers between now and the end of the 2019.
