Leadership Development
As part of our Colart Academy, we have created the following resources to support Leadership Development.
Leadership Development Programs
We believe there are three development stages for leadership development. These are:-
- Leading self
- Leading others
- Leading the business
To support these development stages we run across the business the following training programs:-
- Leadership Development 1.0: a program incorporating feedback and reflection to increase self awareness as well as the chance to put learnings into practice
- Empowering People for People Managers (EPPM): a program designed to build your understanding of your role and responsibility as a leader in Colart
- Leadership Development 2.0: a program designed to expand your leadership impact beyond your direct team paying particular attention to communication, collaboration and connectivity

Leadership Levels
At Colart, different roles have different Leadership Levels according to the complexity of decisions that the role is accountable for.
We believe in the importance of being transparent about these levels so that people can use the definitions to guide their own leadership development journey in the company if leadership is an area of interest - this is the Colart Way for leadership development.

LeadersPlus
Colart has always been an enormous supporter of parents at work. We have already supported several women leaders to join the Leadersplus programme whilst on maternity leave. The programme is now open to men on their paternity leave.
Leaderplus is a Fellowship programme designed to support middle and senior-level leaders with babies and young children to continue leadership growth and development whilst enjoying their children.
LeadersPlus Fellowships have been expertly designed to:
- enable parents to stay on the leadership pipeline whilst still enjoying their children
- create a positive movement for change so no parent has to choose between career and family
- tackle a root cause of the gender pay gap by supporting parents to progress in their careers

UK Colart Team Leader Development Programme
The UK Colart Team Leader - Supervisor Development Programme includes a wide range of study topics including the core principlesof team leading and understanding business. Participants practice skills such as managing personal performance, communication, time management and leading a team.
The Skills Network offers individualised learning to each participant, and heavily involves you in all curriculum scoping to ensure that progress is meaningful. In addition, the curriculum scoping exercise provides an opportunity to review prior learning and completed qualifications, with the aim of personalising participants experience to support and enhance Colart, and therefore the participants progress.
