A Decade of Reflection and Celebration: Managing Product Data at Colart
The 9th September marked ten years of service at Colart for Data Manager, Nicky Shaw. Here's what she had to say about her growth and development, so far, at Colart.
I started as part of the IT team back in 2013 as the first employee looking at product data specifically for Colart, this was just as the "new" Project Griffin Winsor &Newton webstore was being built, alongside a lot of Cognos customer mapping work. M3 product hierarchy builds and product code mapping for China SKUs and being our GS1 rep.
Since then, there’s been a lot of change in my role, department, processes and projects, for the better. I’ve implemented and bought alive the initial version of our Digital Asset Management system (The Bank), which has evolved over the last 10 years and will continue to in some form. Advocated for the preservation of a PIM (Product Information Management System) back in 2015, briefed, researched, and saw it through to fruition and build during 2018/9.
I’ve also been a major part of the move from multiple non ecommerce standalone websites to ecommerce integrated Bank and PIM websites for Reeves, Snazaroo, Liquitex, Winsor & Newton, Charbonnel and Lefranc Bourgeois most recently and three years of work bringing the B2B sites to our resellers and agents across the world.
Nicky, thanks for the impact your contribution has made at Colart over the past decade. And, here is to many more years to follow.
Well done to you Nicky! It’s been great to work with you on Charbonnel and LB ecom, and we have ‘big things’ planned for next year. I’m looking forward to working with you more closely from now on and absorbing a little of your vast knowledge.
