A Farewell to Denis Hennequin

"Selling is good, collecting is better" is what Denis Hennequin, Credit Manager for the Europe, UK and Export markets for the past 6 years, has regularly used as his spearhead.

Denis will be leaving us on March 31st for a well-deserved retirement, leaving behind him a solid department and a team that he has strengthened and developed in terms of knowledge and know-how.

 

Denis joined Colart in June 2017 as Credit Manager, to finalize the centralization of the management of the Nordics client portfolio and then of the UK clients in 2018, after having participated in the creation and reorganization of the Colart Creative export portfolios.

As a true interface between the sales team, the customer service department, the accounting department and, of course, the customers (!), Denis fulfilled his role with an eternal good mood, a spirit of openness, facilitation, and a desire to teach and pass on the knowledge to help his team evolve. "The most financial of the salesmen or the most commercial of the financiers", he also brought his legal eye to bear on various projects and was a solid support for the review of the T&C and contracts.

Denis says: "I have enjoyed working at Colart, and I can't believe that 6 years have gone by so quickly. I really appreciated the spirit of the Colart France Finance team, solidarity, involvement and good mood, but above all the constant search for performance and process improvement. I had previously worked for manufacturers or IT distributors, but I discovered another world, different in many ways, with products that give meaning to the mission. How can I not finish without underlining the excellent working relationship I have had with everyone, so a big thank you to everyone, N/Europe, France, UK, Spain, Italy and export. And a little emotion when it comes to saying good luck, I have confidence in you, to Isabelle, Aurélie, Cyrille and Alexis."

Thierry Collot said: "I would like to personally pay tribute to Denis' contribution and involvement during his years at Colart. Denis brought us his experience, his rigor, his organization and his ability to listen, both to each employee and to our customers! I will always remember him as a great professional and, what's more, as someone with a good sense of humor!"

A programme to transition and train credit controllers has been managed by Denis Henequin in the lead-up to his retirement at the close of this week. Credit controllers will now take ownership of their dedicated markets. They will be responsible for collection, customer risk management and cash flow forecasts in their market and will report directly to Patricia. This new structure creates new responsibilities for Isabelle Herisson as coordinator for Amazon and credit management. 

I wish Denis a happy retirement, which he can use to enjoy his many passions and cultural activities, and I wish the whole team a successful continuation in a key role to support the business in a sustainable and profitable development. I would also like to thank him personally for his contributions and support over the past six years.

Départ en retraite de Denis Hennequin 

Organisation du Credit Management

 “Vendre c’est bien, Encaisser c’est mieux !”, c’est la phrase qui revient régulièrement et dont Denis Hennequin, Credit Manager des marchés Europe, UK et Grand Export depuis 6 ans a fait son fer de lance.

Denis nous quitte le 31 mars pour une retraite bien méritée, et en laissant derrière lui un service solide et une équipe qu’il a su renforcer et faire grandir en savoirs et savoir être.

Denis est arrivé chez Colart en juin 2017 au poste de Credit Manager, pour finaliser la centralisation de gestion du portefeuille clients Nordics puis des clients UK en 2018, après avoir participé à la création et aux réorganisations de portefeuilles Export de Colart Créative.

Véritable interface entre les commerciaux, le service clients, la comptabilité et bien sûr … les clients ( !) Denis a rempli son rôle avec une éternelle bonne humeur, un esprit d’ouverture, de facilitation et dans une volonté de pédagogie et de transmission pour faire évoluer son équipe. « Le plus financier des commerciaux ou le plus commercial des financiers », il a également apporté son œil de juriste sur différents projets et été un soutien solide pour la revue des CGV et de contrats.

Denis témoigne : « j’ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à travailler chez Colart, d’ailleurs j’ai du mal à réaliser que 6 années soient passées si rapidement. J’ai énormément apprécié l’esprit qui règne au sein de  l’équipe Finance Colart France, solidarité, implication et bonne humeur mais surtout recherche constante de la performance et de l’amélioration des process. Moi qui avais avant tout une expérience chez des constructeurs ou distributeurs IT j’ai découvert un autre monde, différent à bien des égards, avec des produits qui donnent sens à la mission. Comment ne pas finir sans souligner les excellentes relations de travail que j’ai pu entretenir avec chacun, alors un grand merci à tous, N/Europe, France, UK, Espagne, Italie et export. Et une petite émotion au moment de dire bonne continuation, j’ai confiance en vous, à Isabelle, Aurélie, Cyrille et Alexis. 

Thierry Collot témoigne : « je veux personnellement saluer tout l’apport et l’implication dont a fait preuve Denis durant ses années passées au sein de Colart. Denis nous a amené son expérience, sa rigueur, son organisation et son écoute, que ce soit avec chaque collaborateur comme avec nos clients! Je garderai l’image d’un grand professionnel et qui plus est, non dépourvu d’humour ! »

Un programme de transition et de formation des Credit Controllers a été mené consciencieusement par Denis et l’équipe ces derniers mois. Chaque Credit Controller est dorénavant en charge du recouvrement, de la gestion du risque client et des prévisions de trésorerie entrante sur son marché et me rapporte directement. L’organisation des délégations est maintenue. Cette nouvelle structure crée de nouvelles responsabilités pour Isabelle Herisson en tant que coordinatrice finance de la nouvelle Task Force Europe Amazon et le credit management.

Je souhaite à Denis une belle retraite, qu’il puisse mettre à profit pour apprécier ses nombreuses passions et activités culturelles et à toute l’équipe une belle continuation dans un rôle clé pour accompagner le business dans un développement durable et profitable. Je tiens aussi à le remercier personnellement pour ses apports et son soutien sur ces 6 dernières années.
