Cowling & Wilcox Shoreditch โ Merchandising Refresh

We recently delivered a successful merchandising refresh at the Cowling & Wilcox store in Shoreditch!
This activity significantly improved our brand visibility and store presence.
Previously we were limited to 11.5 bays and our presence was affected by outdated Winsor & Newton (W&N) units and frequent disruption from competitor products.
To address this, we:
- Expanded to 13 bays, improving visibility and product flow.
- Repurposed equipment, including 2 illuminated W&N headers, 5 EU inline units, 144 shelf dividers, and 3 info panel brackets.
- Installed a new Liquitex Brush display, featuring prototype vertical brush holders and custom hook bars for the Mural Brush range.
- Integrated dual-sited sets, creating a cohesive, well-branded experience across the store.

I'm sure you will agree the impact of this upgrade is clear and other benefits included:
- Achieved cost savings of over £4,800 by reusing and refurbishing existing equipment.
- Delivered a more engaging, polished in-store presentation.
- Improved overall layout and reduced brand disruption from competitors.
But this project was not achieved alone and it spanned several months requiring close cross-departmental cooperation.
Special thanks to:
- Planning: Caroline Williams, Lianne Wells, Liza Kindon and team, Ruben Nunkoo, Charlotte Caton, Francheska Liberman, and Guy Peeke-Vout.
- Installation: Corina Sartore, Eden Cook-Watson, and Guy Peeke-Vout.
Thanks to everyone’s effort, we’ve created a more impactful retail experience while optimizing resources and spend.

Wow – what a difference and with the new lit headers as well! Well done.
A fantastic improvement to really showcase our brands – well done.
Great job Emma! Sorry I couldn’t be there to support, but looking at what’s been done and the difference, I can see a lot of hard work went into it. The new brand headers look great and make the display stand out amongst everyone else. We should be rolling these out to more of our top tier retailers.
Super congrats to you all. A lot of hard work and effort, all executed with a sustainability lens, to enhance our consumer first and brand power experience with this key retailer in the UK Fine Art channel. Great work. Best, Anthony
What a fantastic uplift, well done Emma and to all involved.
