Changes to The Bank: Your Asset Management System

We're making changes to The Bank to ensure you and your customers have seamless and efficient access.

In June 2022, we rolled out a new version of The Bank, the go-to asset management system for all Colart users and our customers. We intended to deliver a platform that better suited your needs and fit-for-purpose. Unfortunately, this upgrade came with severe bugs that the platform provider has been unable to resolve.

As a result, we have decided to roll back to the previous version of the Bank. While this platform provides only some of the features we want to offer you and our customers, it does offer functionality that is problem free.

We will bring the ownership and management of The Bank in-house. This enables us to be closer to the software and prioritise any issues that might occur in the future. It will also ensure our marketing assets remain readily available to you and our customers.

We aim to minimise the impact of these changes. At 10 am on 22nd November 2022 BST time, only the previous version of The Bank will be available for your use.

We know many of you will have questions relating to this change. Therefore we have developed a Q&A below to help you through this transition.

When will this change happen?

The change will happen from 10am BST on Tuesday 22nd November and will continue during working hours.  The data team will update and inform everyone of any unscheduled outages over and above this.

How do I login to The Bank once the transition is complete?

There will be no change to the way you login to The Bank and access will be via single sign on.  Use the Quick Links tab from the homepage on the intranet or this link here:  https://thebank.colart.com/login

What happens to my assets that have been added since the new platform was introduced in June 2022?

We have the new and old view of The Bank both running from the same database. Therefore, any changes and additions you have made will be saved.

What will my user experience be when we revert back to the "old version" of The Bank?

When we roll back to the old view nothing will be lost. In fact we will gain back the mass upload via excel.  This feature never made it onto the new view.

What support do I get if I am unsure how to use The Bank?
