Colart at it’s best!

With our vision in mind, to Get a Snazaroo kit in every household with a child under 10, the UK commercial team secured two large orders for Halloween with two mass retailers: Sainsburys and Tesco.
Whilst great news for volumes, as these orders were not originally forecasted, we ran into a supply issue with a key raw material to manufacture Snazaroo blood.... recognising it's Halloween, missing the blood would mean we would not be able to fulfil the Tesco order!
Rather than saying "sorry no can do!" the Snazaroo team saw this as a challenge to be met so we reached out to a number of teams across the business to secure help.
Through this collaboration, we sourced, tested and approved an alternative raw material that could be used to produce the blood and I have just been notified that this shipment has cleared customs and is scheduled for delivery TOMORROW!
This is an outstanding example of Colart at its best as we will now be able to complete the Tesco order within the deadline!
Without the collective agility of all involved teams, this critical sales volume would not have been possible.
I would therefore like to thank all those involved including:-
-
UK commercial team
-
Regulatory and Compliance team based in London
-
I&D team based in Le Mans
-
Procurement team based in Le Mans
-
...and of course my team for their creative thinking.

Thank you for giving the UK Commercial Team a shout out here Lucy, it has certainly been a full UK Team effort! A huge thank you to you too for everything you’ve done to help make this happen, especially at such short notice. It’s very exciting for us to be working with some of the biggest UK supermarkets again, and especially around such a key sales period for the Snazaroo brand.
Great job, team, and a good example of cross-team agile collaboration to leverage business opportunities in our “consumer first” mindset. Thanks Lucie for putting this inspiring decision making example under the spotlights.
Thank you Lucy.. its certainly been a (good) challenge for all involved.. which makes it all the more rewarding of course. Thank you to everyone involved, and particularly Carys for bringing us these opportunities and for creatively pushing through any boundaries. There are no certain promises of course.. BUT.. our collective ability to react quickly not only supports our numbers this year, but also puts us in a very good position for Halloween 2025 within Grocery.. including Tesco, Sainsburys, and very possibly other Grocers too.
Great work all involved. Agility in Action!
Super congrats to the UK team, Minehead, Kidderminster crew, Regs, I&D and procurement with special thanks to Carys, Dan, Corina, Shane& Co and Lucy.
First of all, congratulations for all your work in getting Sainsbury’s over the line. Pressing time and operational challenges make this achievement even more impressive.
Secondly, is a recognition that it is not only “What we do” but “How we do it” that tastes the difference.
A collaborative approach, a willingness to get stuck in, and winning the hearts & minds of colleagues to make this a priority are amongst the many reasons why this is agility in action at its best.
Congratulations and well done. Best, Anthony
Congratulations everyone involved, love to see this problem solving with pace! look forward to seeing these products in Tesco and Sainsburys <3
Great work all, in getting the orders in and in rising to the challenge to fulfill the orders. Massive thanks to everyone, Halloween is such a critical time for the brand, all your hard work is much appreciated .
Well done Minehead and UK team – amazing!
wonderful news and well done on responding quickly and allowing this commercial opportunity to happen. Great to see the products in Tesco and Sainsbury’s soon!
Thank you Lucy! It’s been a great example of teamwork, drive and agility. As always, so much goes on behind the scenes to make these things happen and I appreciate everything that’s been done to make this work. It will put us in a great position for 2025 and we can continue to build on these successes 🙂
