Colart UK Ltd to Become the New Name for Colart Fine Art and Graphics
Last year, we shared our intention to rename the Colart Fine Art and Graphics Legal entity to Colart UK Limited. I am pleased to announce that the formal and legal process to make this change is now complete. We are currently in the process of communicating externally to our customers, suppliers and other relevant stakeholders and internally to all Colart employees globally. This announcement forms the launch pad of these communications.
Why the change?
The reasons behind this change were twofold.
Firstly, the abbreviated name and acronym for Colart Fine Art & Graphics when used verbally or in writing has derogatory connotations – this fact was highlighted in our recent employee engagement survey. As a business embracing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I), we recognised the time was therefore right to make this business name change.
Secondly, the plan to name it Colart UK Limited enables a simplification and alignment with other entities to the geographical naming policy for our commercial business units and commercial legal structures.
What does it mean for all of us?
We have now made the legal company name change from Colart Fine Art & Graphics to Colart UK.
Culturally, this is something that we ask all employees to embrace. When referring to Colart Fine Art & Graphics Ltd, please ensure you use the new legal name Colart UK Ltd. That way, you remove the need to be using the acronym of the previously named company in any future verbal and written communications.
I appreciate your support in making this happen by embracing this yourself and helping others make the change if they use the acronym by mistake.
What does it mean for our customers and suppliers?
The new London Hub address has been filed at Companies House. We will be communicating this company name change and new address to all external contacts. We will request all external contacts to update their file details accordingly and use this information in all future correspondence, invoices, and other matters. It is important to note that all other elements of the company details remain unchanged.
What does it mean for employees of the business formally known as Colart Fine Art & Graphics?
All contractual terms of employment remain unchanged. HR will be writing to you to formalise this name change.
I want to thank the project team comprising multiple stakeholders across Legal, HR, Finance, IT, Regulatory, Commercial Sales and Marketing for all their work in assessing this change and for their work in now implementing this change.
