Colart UK Town Hall Meeting: The Rerun
You may remember the not-so-perfect production of the town hall meeting with special guests from Colart UK, held on 10th March. At Dennis's last town hall, it could be said that it was Murphy's Law and inevitable that things wouldn't go as smoothly as planned.
With nearly double the average attendees, the feed between the MS Teams meeting and our servers did not cope with the increased traffic. It was unexpected, we learnt lessons, and most importantly, we stayed true to our Colart values, remaining authentic and true to ourselves.
Time, effort, thought and creativity went into the preparation for this town hall. The Colart UK team are proud of their achievements and keen to tell their story in the best way possible. We supported this by editing the live recording and producing an almost-complete version of their presentation. Some of you may have viewed this in the "not a town hall meeting" scheduled on Friday 14th, April. If you missed it, click the video below to watch the entire meeting session, including Dennis hosting his last town hall.
Colart UK is managed by General Manager Anthony Taylor and incorporates the UK Marketing and Channel Sales teams plus the distribution centre operations at Kidderminster. Further guests included Shane Williams, Site Manager, Kidderminster; Martyn Symes, Channel Director, Fine Art; Dan Sugrue, Channel Director, Mass Channel plus, an outstanding video representation from the UK Marketing team with UK Head of Marketing, Charlotte Canton and Global TFAC Manager and resident artist, Stephanie Nebbia.

Anthony's journalist interview skills shone during this session, and, despite technical distribution, we viewed an engaging dialogue that helped us better understand the Colart UK structure and direction. Anthony said, "Our focus is building the connection between our brands and consumers in the physical and digital space". He explains how this is done through their three strategic pillars being:
- One UK Team culture
- Progressive Journey that moves from a trading legacy to one of brand building
- Focus on financial rigour
