COVID-19 Town Hall Meeting

March 27, 2020 | |

On Wednesday 25th March we had a Town Hall Meeting exclusively related to COVID-19. This time the Town Hall Meeting was hosted on Microsoft Teams, and we had over 210 people joining us.

It was the first time that we hosted a live stream with so many people attending, and we hope to see you in the upcoming COVID-19 Town Hall Meetings every two weeks.

Due to some technical issues, we were only able to record the voice, not the video. Please find below a summary of what was discussed in the meeting and the recording.

Dennis introduced the meeting by saying that this was a unique way of talking to us, but that we are living a special time in our history. Also, he wished us the best and gave us strength and hope. He also reminds us to take the recommendations from the company and the different governments seriously; wash your hands, keep your distance and stay at home.

  • We are living through a difficult time, and the worst is yet to come, but this crisis is temporary and will be over. We have a fantastic business to believe in.
  • Every day the management team come together to analyse the latest news of the virus, see how to deal with the crisis, help each other, share knowledge and work together to form a strategy.
  • This crisis will have some effects on our company, and our strategy is very simple: protect the core of the business. April and May will be close to zero sales, which means that we will need to take actions to protect the bottom line, cash and profit. We also need to think ahead and get ready for the future, because we will get through the crisis, we will come out stronger, and we need to be prepared for the restart.
  • We have a reason to believe that there is an amazing future for us. We have a robust business and a stable company that is ready to take a few hits, and we are part of an industrial group that is rock solid.
  • We are launching a new site “Navigating COVID-19”, a site that combines all kind of information related to coronavirus, from latest updates to tools and tips.
  • We have a fantastic culture that we have built over the years. Remember that we are here to help each other and that together we will overcome the adversities of the crisis.

Without people, there is no business.

Dennis van Schie,

Chief Executive Officer.
