Dominique Murzeau leaves Colart for retirement this week!
It is with a mix of gratitude and sadness that we announce Dominique's retirement from our team
Dominique has been an invaluable asset, someone I believe every team deserves—a remarkable person embodying the adage "mens sana in corpore sano" (a healthy mind in a healthy body). I recall my first encounter with Dominique during my industrial onboarding when he described himself as a tree—deep-rooted and soaring high—a testament to his simplicity, honesty, grounded nature, and collaborative spirit. His approachable demeanor and great sense of humor complemented his serious commitment to work, without taking himself too seriously.
Dominique's thirst for learning, exploration of new ways of working, passion for sustainability, and interest in new technologies have always been evident. Beyond his professional life, his commitment to family, care for others, curiosity about different cultures, and impressive running abilities have defined him.
Over the past six years with us at Le Mans, first as GM and then promoted to CMO in January 2022, Dominique has demonstrated excellence and embraced new challenges.
In his role, Dominique modernised and automated Le Mans, successfully navigated employee relations, led the restructuring of Tianjin, diligently advanced our H&S routines, and developed new talents and he has prepared his succession with openness and support.
Dominique, you are not only a distinguished professional in industry management but also a cherished team partner. Your philosophy of "step by step," advancing without dramatic overhauls, has always brought people along with you. To many, you have been more than a colleague—a true friend.
Working with Dominique has been a pleasure, rooted in respect and trust. We will genuinely miss you Dominique, not just for who you are but for the unique presence you bring. Thank you for everything you have contributed to Colart.
Please join me in wishing Dominique the very best in the exciting new chapter ahead!
Romain
….a mo?! …how we start our conversations and I always have “a mo” for you Dominique. From day one you have been a colleague, a collaborator, an action taker and….to me, a friend. I value the partnership we had and the lessons you taught me. Thank you!
You will be sorely missed Dominique, your calmness and pragmatic approach made it so easy to work with you. I wish you all the best in your next chapter 🐈
I will really miss our regular chats Dominique. You are really humble, kind and very focused and I have learnt alot from you. Enjoy your retirement you really deserve it.
all the best for the next step Dominique (or should i say step by step) 🙂
Dominique, you have truly made a positive impact on our business, and especially so in some of the transformations at Le Mans. I have always admired your work ethic and the calm way you go about making what seems a quite complex subjects we have discussed over the years much simpler….absolutely step by step. My best wishes for the future – you can be rightly proud to leave something better than how you found it.
Dominique, it has been a privilege working with you. Your approach to leadership, focusing on patience (step by step), humility, and purpose, leaves a lasting mark on me. Your openness to exploring new ideas and perspectives inspires everyone around you. It is rare to meet somebody who leads both with their heart and head, but you exemplify this balance incredibly well. I wish you and yours all the best in your next chapter.
