Great Initiative From DC4
Let’s take a moment to recognize and share an inspiring initiative led by Elba Garnica, Operations Supervisor at DC4 in Piscataway.
In collaboration with colleagues from across departments, Elba worked with Anthony Madison, Kelly Lyman-Kerekes, Jillian Knetchel, and Anne Zayatz to introduce a smart and thoughtful approach to organizing materials for donation.
By systematically sorting and categorizing these materials, the group developed a process that enables better control, clear visibility of available items, and opportunities for reuse—making the entire effort more efficient and impactful.
This project is a powerful reminder that we must learn to reuse what we already have. Rather than letting valuable materials go to waste, this initiative encourages us to rethink how we manage resources—focusing on reuse, recycling, and smarter organization. The impact? Less waste, more purpose, and materials reaching the people who truly need them.
Elba’s leadership, supported by this cross-functional collaboration, is a strong example of how working together with intention can lead to meaningful, positive change.
Thank you, DC4, for inspiring us all!

Congratulations Elba and team, a good way to combine recyclability, nice layout, clear organisation and charity …simplest things are often the best
I had the pleasure of visiting the US site last week and was lucky enough to have a tour of the warehouse, which included seeing this new area led by Elba. I was so impressed I took a photo, I do love good, clear, organisation ;-). So simple, yet so effective. Well done Elba and all who helped implement this initiative.
