Jean Bernard Devos Retires After 27 Years of Dedicated Service at Colart
After more than 27 years at Colart, Jean Bernard Devos has decided to retire.
Jean Bernard had previous experience in our industry on the Belgian market, initially in-store and later in the commercial field at Canson. He joined Colart in 1997 and, throughout the years, developed our brands on the Belgian market with passion and professionalism. He made significant contributions, particularly within the major fine arts chains Schleiper (Wallonia) and Lucas Creativ (Flanders). He also expanded the market into Stationery (Le Club chain) and Arts and Leisure (Creacorner chain), while consistently supporting independent specialist retailers.
When Paul Strobe retired in February 2022, Jean Bernard took over his customer portfolio, ensuring the continued commercial success throughout the Belux territory with assistance from Emmanuel Denis in France.
I am very proud to have known Jean Bernard and to have worked with him since 2020, when Colart France took over the Belux market.
As Jean Bernard transitions into retirement, I wish him continued enthusiasm and joy. To use a famous French sailing phrase, I wish him "Fair winds," and may this adage guide him through the lands and adventures he loves so much.
