Jean Brooke Sumner soon celebrates 10 years at Colart!
Jean has been a pivotal member of the Winsor & Newton Brand team since she joined.
Working seamlessly and collaboratively across the different parts of the portfolio, forming strong relationships with the markets and the various teams from Digital to Regulatory and Finance, and not forgetting our Operations colleagues.
Her smile, warmth and positive outlook, coupled with the wonderful lilting and gentle South Africa accent, are truly something that we all value!
Jean says:
Can’t believe how time has flown – it really has gone by in a flash. It’s been said time and time again, but what stands out is my wonderful team, colleagues, friends that I’ve made, as well as working on such a world class brand.
Before starting I was working at TalkTalk, literally next door to the old Colart, but had no idea about this company called ‘Colart’. I came from an advertising background, straight into the world of Winsor & Newton fine art with the early innovation boards akin to Dragons Den. I then moved into the comms role developing the creative platform ‘Expert colour. Endless possibilities’ and lastly ended up focusing on the graphic art portfolio.
I’ve enjoyed driving product innovations over the years including Cadmium Free, Pencil Compact sets and Promarker, and will continue to endlessly push forward. I’ve loved being involved in a wide range of partnerships over the years – from artist residencies, hospital rooms to more recent collaborations in product design, architecture, urban sketching to fashion events.
Right by my side, Agostina has been an incredible support, making work all the more enjoyable. I’m proud of Winsor & Newton, our team and feel there are very few other brands that I could have as much passion for.
