Junior Elephant Summer Show!

June 25, 2021 | |

You may remember the Junior Elephant Classes held earlier this year. Classes were designed specifically for children of Colart people as a collaborative initiative to support parents faced with the challenges of home-schooling.

We are now delighted to present a further Elephant initiative, the Junior Elephant Summer Show.

Following rave reviews from parents and kids alike, creative artist and Elephant Academy Specialist Emmely Elgersma is leading the summer exhibition.

Themed Orange, 3-15-year-olds can submit paintings or sculptures by 30 July.

Emmely Elgersma has provided full details below.

Open call for children aged 3-15 to exhibit their work this summer in Elephant Space.

The long wait is over, and I can confirm the ball is now rolling towards our Junior Elephant Summer exhibition this August.

Firstly, I would absolutely love if everyone I taught earlier in the year could be a part of this, it is a great opportunity to exhibit a physical piece of work and the first exhibition for a lot of the children, which is very inspiring at an early age to see your work hung in a show.

How does it work?

1. Click this link.

2. On the page, you will find your “entry ticket” into the show.

3. The entry ticket includes your canvas, postage + orange paint.

4. The theme of the show is “ORANGE”.

You have until the end of July to get your paintings back to me ready to be hung, and you will then receive an invite to the exhibition. Full details on timings and our measures to ensure the exhibition is Covid safe will be announced then.

So please click the link! Get your canvas and get painting. I have also attached the flyer to the show, so please feel free to pass it onto friends and family who you know has a budding artist ages 4-15!

Looking forward to seeing your artworks,
