Junior Elephant’s Summer Exhibition

September 6, 2021 | |

Elephant Space hosted an exhibition and series of workshops for young artists aged 4-15 last week.

Everyone had a brilliant time at Elephant Space with our Little Elephants (and some parents!), enjoying making playdough elephants, while our Junior Elephants spent time drawing and experimenting with colour.

The shaving foam screen printing session was a hit with all! All the children enjoyed seeing their work displayed on easels, and everyone took home a goody bag courtesy of Elephant Kiosk.

We decided to run the exhibition off the back of the online art classes we provided to colleagues’ children back at the start of the year during the lockdown.

Over 600 kids attended the two-month-long online zoom classes and created some beautiful work. It was lovely to see some little faces off the screen and in Elephant Space last week, and everyone involved deserves a huge thumbs up.

This event has given us a lot to think about in terms of what Elephant can do to support creative development in children aged four-15, alongside a mentorship scheme for graduates.
