Leadersplus programme – UK

January 18, 2021 | | | 2 comments

Parents everywhere are performing the ultimate juggling act by blending their work and home life to create a routine that works for their careers and their families.  This challenge is especially true as working parents have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19 according to the Institute for Fiscal Studies.

ABOUT LEADERSPLUS

Leaderplus is an award-winning Fellowship programme designed to support middle and senior-level leaders with babies and young children to continue leadership growth and development whilst enjoying their children. The programme includes career development support, mentoring and access to a supportive cross-sector network with like-minded peers, often referred to as “NCT for professionals.”

Colart has always been a huge supporter of parents at work and over the last few years, we have been supporting several women leaders in the UK to join the Leadersplus programme whilst on their maternity leave.

CHANGES IN THE PROGRAMME

The programme originally focused on just expectant mothers and mothers on their maternity leave but now it includes access for parents who have children in Primary School.  The programme is open to both men and women.

BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAMME

We have received excellent feedback from people who have previously attended the programme and we are confident of the value gained.  In summary, we see this value as follows:

1. Retention of key skills in Colart by facilitating a return to work after maternity

2. Continuous growth and development whilst absent from work during maternity leave

3. Enhanced motivation and commitment to Colart

4. Exposure to a broadened network bringing outside/in thinking to Colart

5. Evidence of our commitment to our Diversity and Inclusion

We are proud to be supporting the programme again this year within the UK, and we have budgeted for and reserved three spaces for the 2021 programme.

If this sounds relevant to you want and you wish to apply or would just like more information, please do speak to your Line Manager or HR.

Best regards,
