Liquitex: A Day of Art at The Works, Watford

Last week, Lewis Houlston hosted an instore painting demonstration by Liquitex at The Works store in Watford.
Being one of the prominent stores in terms of sales during the initial 6 months of having Liquitex Basics in The Works, it was the perfect destination to have brand ambassador Kate showcase the capabilities of the products and educate customers as to how endless the boundaries actually are.
The team was really surprised at how rewarding it was to see children come into store and actively engage in painting and trying something new. And to see how happy they were when their parent bought them a set of Liquitex paints and even some Mediums was truly inspiring.
We are lucky enough to work in such an influential category and seeing first hand how much joy painting can bring to people is fantastic.
A big thank you to Corina from the UK Marketing Team for organising a brilliant event which led to a significant week on week uplift for sales in that store.
We also had the Head of Buying for The Works drop into the store and see first hand what the brand is all about. She has agreed to come into the hub in the near future to have a more immersive experience with our brands and to work on our expansion of products further into The Works’ store estate.
It’s truly inspiring to see our products shining around the world.
Great to see how art materials can be a point of difference for The Works – looks like a great and engaging session
Kate is amazing – well done Lewis & Corina on this event!
Brilliant. Well done folks. I popped into The Works last weekend, in Merry Hill, and our stuff looked great in there.
Nice one, Lewis and Corina! So glad my local store is doing well and it’s great to see that LQX Basics has got off to such a good start with The Works – hopefully this paves the way for more good things to come.
Congrats Lewis and Corina. Building our brand footprint of Liquitex is a core part of Perform 30. Great to see our relationship with The Works developing through this Liquitex growth. Well done. Best, Anthony
