Download PDFLiquitex is thrilled to share that the Just Imagine Residency is well underway, giving a range of talented artists the unique opportunity to create in their own studio space at Manufacturers Village in East Orange, NJ, with Liquitex materials. The Manufacturers Village in East Orange, NJ, is a diverse community of creator’s home to over 60 artists spanning various disciplines.
This year’s residency program features five artists, each showcasing a specific Liquitex professional range, including Acrylic Gouache, Acrylic Mediums, Acrylic Ink, Heavy Body Acrylic and Soft Body Acrylic. Throughout the residency, each artist receives mentorship and guidance, participates in an Instagram Live interview on the Liquitex Instagram channel and is given the opportunity to sell limited edition prints on Elephant Kiosk.
Mekia Machine: Acrylic Gouache Resident Artist
Mekia is a multidisciplinary creative who expresses herself through painting, performance, singing and composing. Her larger than life personality brought a unique energy to Manufacturers Village while she created a large breadth of work exploring themes of isolation, the essence of self, memory and more. Cynthia Pareja Dubin: Acrylic Mediums Resident Artist
Cynthia, is another talented multidisciplinary creative, perfectly married graphic design, mixed media and collage work throughout her Acrylic Mediums residency. She created a number of large scale, dimensional pieces that explored the concept of revitalizing old paintings to produce something new. Find out what inspires Cynthia to create here.
Rebecca Major: Acrylic Ink Resident Artist
Rebecca expertly blended figurative and abstract elements during her Acrylic Ink residency. Inspired by New York City’s spray art and graffiti line work, Rebecca’s work is dynamic yet ethereal, exploring unknowable aspects of the inner psyche. Discover more about Rebecca’s work and background here.
On October 16th and 17th , Liquitex will be participating in the Manufacturers Village Open Studios with a VIP preview on October 15th.
