MENTORING PROGRAMME UPDATE

March 11, 2020 | | | 1 comment

At Colart we really believe in the importance of helping people develop themselves personally and professionally. The foundation for this development is the Colart Academy which has four pillars for development: leadership, skill, community and service and identifies the different routes that exist in Colart for development. Click here to find out more.

One key learning opportunity that we see as a foundation of supported learning is Mentoring.  For this reason, in 2017 Colart started to roll out a structured mentoring scheme across the group.

Why is Mentoring so important?

We believe Mentoring accelerates and enriches both business development and individual learning for both the Mentor and Mentee. But, above all it builds effective internal networks as well as developing collaborative relationships – something that we know is important to our people as highlighted in the recent employee survey.

So, what’s happening?

Our updated Mentor Site is now live on the Intranet. Please click here to view the page including new Mentor Profiles.

How many mentors will we have?

In total we have the following number of Mentors available across the Group:

  • 13 in the UK
  • 9 in France
  • 7 in the US
  • 5 in China
  • 1 in Germany
  • 1 in Netherlands

What are the next steps?

In a few words… we want more!  We really want to make embed mentoring as a way to achieve our people strategy – feel like a family, act like a high performing team.  So, if you interested, please reach out to your local HR Business Partner and let’s get talking.

Self-directed learning – Anytime, Any Place, Any Pace…coming soon!

Finally, we would like to update you on our progress to launch the Colart Academy e-Learning platform on our Intranet with learning content linked to the academy’s four pillars.   This site will be live from the beginning of available April 2020.  Watch this space for more news on the launch date.

Together we can work towards really inspiring our people at Colart.

Kind regards,

Torkel Tellefsen

US HR Director
