New W&N Director Chris Wooff joined the UK Tour

UK Trade Tour Welcomes New W&N Global Brand Director, Chris Wooff
Last week, Martyn Symes and Anthony Taylor had the pleasure of accompanying Chris Wooff, our new Winsor & Newton Global Brand Director, on a UK Trade Tour — a fantastic opportunity to introduce him to the vibrant landscape of the UK art materials market and the strong presence of the Winsor & Newton brand.
Winsor & Newton holds a particularly meaningful position in the UK, and we were proud to showcase the incredible visibility, impact, and brand strength that the UK team has cultivated over time. From beautifully merchandised displays to passionate retail partners, it was clear just how much care and dedication has gone into building and maintaining the brand’s legacy here.
Chris had the chance to engage directly with key stakeholders, including store managers, buyers, and managing directors from Cass Art, Waterstones, and London Graphic Centre. Across the board, there was resounding advocacy not only for Winsor & Newton and our wider Colart portfolio, but also for the UK team and the collaborative energy that fuels our partnerships.
A highlight of the tour was visiting London Graphic Centre, where we revealed a bold new initiative: a large, interactive digital screen fully integrated into the Winsor & Newton Art Wall — a striking example of how the UK team is driving innovation at the point of sale.
This standout project is the result of a fantastic collaboration between Guy Peeke-Vout (from Martyn’s Fine Art Channel team) and Viktoria Saplaoura (from Charlotte’s marketing team). A huge thank-you and kudos to both for bringing this visionary idea to life.
We’re incredibly excited about the journey ahead and are looking forward to working closely with Chris and the global W&N team to further elevate and grow the Winsor & Newton brand — building on a rich heritage with bold, forward-thinking strategies.
Great to see that you all had a great day out in the field! A very valuable way to see first hand how our brands come to life for customers in our UK stores. Looking forward to hearing more feedback as more visits happen across our key retailers in the future. PS: Great picture in front of the Cass store/manifesto, Anthony & Chris.
Whether it’s seeing our products in real life, checking out the competitor landscape, speaking to members of staff or seeing consumers buy our products (and finding out why), store visits are always so rewarding. It’s fantastic that Chris has been able to get out with Anthony and Martyn so soon after starting. Looking forward to working with the W&N brand team even more closely moving forward and collaborating to make our biggest brand in the UK even better!
