UK September Student Month: Successful Collaborations With Key Retailers

September 2023 saw the UK Market team participating in Student Day activations nationwide, across various key retailers. With product goodie bags, promotions, in-store demos, online content activations and more, explore below some key highlights of Student Day at Cass Art, Waterstones and London Graphic Centre.
From the 20th until 29th September, the UK Sales and Marketing team celebrated Cass Art Student Month with Liquitex artist demonstrations and try-me product tables across seven key Cass Art locations nationwide.
The activity saw us spotlighting the Liquitex Professional Acrylics range, with a focus on showcasing the intermixability and compatibility of the various Professional Acrylics systems.
Across the last two weeks of September, during various dates you could find the Liquitex brand ambassadors and artists present in-store. The image opposite details activation and host of each location.

During the Waterstones Student Day event, we held our very first demo since our partnership with the retailer. The demonstration, titled Winsor & Newton: Pigment vs Dyes, took place during the Freshers Event at Waterstones on Gower Street, London, conveniently located near the entrance of UCL.
The primary focus was on showcasing the differences between pigments and dyes, highlighting the distinct characteristics of Fine and Graphic Art products. This allowed us to engage with both Fine Art artists, Illustrators, and Designers.
The response at the demo table was overwhelming, with student consumers eagerly exploring our Watercolours and Promarkers. In fact, we had to request some attendees to return later due to limited table space!
Moreover, the event received extensive coverage across all Waterstones social media platforms and was promoted in-store at key locations throughout the store.

During this event, more than 1,000 Goodie Bags were distributed to student shoppers, each valued at over £60 and containing premium Winsor & Newton Graphic Art materials, as well as Liquitex Acrylic and Gouache supplies.
The student days at London Graphic Centre seamlessly combined both in-store and online experiences, offering discounts and complimentary gifts throughout the entire consumer journey.
In addition to these activities, we extended our support to the 'Golden Ticket' initiative, providing students with the opportunity to win extra Winsor & Newton Graphic Art products.

Really great work here, activating our brands with partner retailers at such a key period in the year. A lot of detailed planned and effort across the team has gone into the development, execution and evaluation of these events and I am super proud of you all. Best, Anthony
It was such a fantastic thing to be involved in working with all our retailers to drive traffic to our brands but also to meet and support all the retail instore champions and ambassadors of our materials, such great endorsements on their platforms.
A successful ‘Student Day’ month with our key retailers with lots of successes and of course learnings that we can implement into next activations!
Amazing activities with all of our retailers; especially with the Waterstones demo, as it was the first one we had with them and really paved the way for more great opportunities and events in the future!
