On Wednesday 23rd January, we had a Town Hall Meeting, live from Head Office. On the panel were Dennis van Schie, our Chief Executive Officer and Jonathan Spight, Chief Financial Officer.
During the meeting, Dennis and Jonathan looked back at 2018 and the many achievements we saw, including the satisfaction from our customers regarding the tremendous improvement in our service levels. We achieved sales of around £152m, 2.7% higher than last year.
In 2019, the third year of our transformation will focus on our financial turnaround, and in our goal to break even. Our budget is built on strong foundations and the business is moving in the right direction.
Live questions included topics such as Brexit, the Trump tariffs, the brands objectives vs the reduced resources.
In short, Dennis emphasized that we have gone through tough times, but transformation takes time. There will be challenges ahead of us, especially in the first half of 2019, but we have strong support from the board for our plans, giving Colart energy and hope to make it a successful journey.
