Town Hall Meeting for Friday 24th February 2023
Through the eyes of an artist
The town hall meeting for Friday, 24th April, hosted by Dennis, included guests from our global brand team at Winsor & Newton. Global Brand Director Helly Summerly and Global Senior Communications Manager Jo Sass joined an enlightening Q&A session where they discussed and debated topics such as; what is a brand vs brand positioning? How important it is to protect a brand and adhere to brand guidelines; how our immersive study about artists, conducted through our insights team last year, generated “creative chaos” and contributed to the new brand positioning strategy and finally, how do Colart people become great brand ambassadors contributing to brand elevation and consumer perception.
This discussion demonstrates the “heart” of our town hall meetings, where discussions offer learning and knowledge. We highly recommend viewing it.
Moments of Inspiration
We've quoted Dennis here, and he states:
"I'll start this town hall with a message of inspiration. When I was preparing myself last night for this town hall, I decided that the message of inspiration is all the amazing thank you messages that I've received from you. It is now two weeks ago that we made the announcement of my moving on and still today, two weeks later I get unbelievably wonderful personal messages from so many of you, even people I've never physically met, or just recently joined Colart. Many of you really took the time to share your appreciation and wish me well and ask me if I was well. I can only confirm that I'm in a very good place. I'm really excited about the future and not only about my personal future but also the future of Colart. Thank you again for all your messages and your support.
This links to the number of high fives that are slightly dropping recently, but how important it is not only to receive nice messages of appreciation but also to give them. When you feel that somebody has done something special for you, say it. It's unbelievably powerful. And it's a very, very strong connection between people that you create. Any winning team, organisation, sports club, school, or family: It all starts and ends with the people and the bond, and the collective culture created among them. So, there was a message of inspiration. Keep giving high fives. Keep sending messages to each other of appreciation and build and learn from that".
