On Friday, 18th February, we held the fortnightly Town Hall. Dennis was on holiday, and therefore, the meeting was hosted by CPO Jane Beeston.
Jane followed Dennis' regular moments of inspiration and recommended a "person of inspiration", Holly Black. She is one of Elephant's editors at large and has written a book, Artist on Art: How They See, Think & Create. We are very impressed and proud of her. The book will also be available in Elephant Kiosk from March.
Diversity, equity and inclusion play an essential role for us at Colart. Our guests this time were Kim Stylides, Elba Garnica and Christina Yoder. They are part of the North America DEI council, and they introduced to us the NA DEI Council purpose, vision and imperative.
One of their latest actions was hanging the NA DEA communication around DC4. While they were doing it, they saw some colleagues taking them in, nodding and showing signs of support and thanks. One of the immediately written messages from a co-worker expressed "how positive and inspiring it was for me".
They also spoke about the shared library they have created and recommended a few books that resonated with them.
