Upgrades to The Bank Now Fit-For-Purpose
After over 8 years of use, the Data team are currently rolling out an updated version of The Bank, Colart’s internal Asset Management System.
In this time, the needs and requirements of The Bank’s users have changed and evolved, so The Bank is evolving to meet them. We’ve taken on board the feedback of our users to provide a faster and more efficient service.
What are the Major Changes?
The front page/dashboard of The Bank no longer loads all assets in chronological order of upload. This means that the system will process faster; asset pages are now in window form for additional speed (but can still be linked to as with the previous version). As a result, naming conventions and tagging will be more important than ever as they become the primary method of locating assets.
The Bulk Upload system has been massively overhauled – users can now simply drag and drop assets in large quantities and they will upload directly to the system – there will be no need for an intermediary system. Bulk edits of uploads (and editing information for existing assets) can now be done using a page on the site after adding to your Uploads or Assets folders.
Do I Need to Do Anything?
You should not need to make any changes – simply log on to The Bank using the same URL and access information that you would have used previously. If you do encounter any issues, please contact thebanksupport@colart.com
How Can I Learn More?
- When you first log in to the new version of the site, there will be a pop up with a video that shows the changes made to the site.
- Written and video tutorials of all processes, as well as a walkthrough of anything that has changed in the update will be available on The Bank, and will soon be launched as anew eLearning course on Colart Academy.
- Any new starters that require Bank access will be introduced to the new version upon rollout. If any existing users are unsure of the process changes, especially for uploads, we may be able to set up some sessions highlighting the updates.
- We will also communicate with our agencies that have access to The Bank regarding the changes.
