The What

Microsoft recently released Avatars for MS Teams but its currently not set up on our account. It seems to not need any additional license, so it wouldn't cost anything extra to enable.
Having the option to create and use an avatar during calls would be an upgrade over the profile photo when you are unable or unwilling to use your webcam.
The Why
When someone's webcam is not enabled we feel a bit disconnected from them and lack emotional response. Also people may have good reason to not want to enable their webcam. This could be a good compromise and could be quite fun.
The How
Ask IT team to enable the functionality.

I’d like to have this option for less serious meetings or when we just want to hang out online. Teams can be quite dry and this is no extra cost to company.
We have the option already!
I think my created avatar actually looks better than I do… Definitely going to use it in the next meeting!
