On Friday 29th January, we held the fortnightly Town Hall Meeting, hosted by CEO Dennis van Schie, Chief Commercial Officer, Gail Pasquier and special guests, Benjamin Hodgson, Barry Davis and Jan Lennon.
Dennis, as usual, shared with us a piece of inspiration, this time a book that you can find at Elephant Kiosk, “My Life as a Work of Art” by Katya Tylevich, Ben Eastham. Dennis gave us a short update on COVID-19 and took us through some of the points that were discussed during the MPR.
Gail explained that this past January has been very different from the previous January’s as many countries are facing some form of lockdown, and most non-essential retailers are closed. Despite the difficulties, Gail congratulated us as we have had a great month of sales above all expatiations.
Gail also spoke about her mission for the year “to ensure we really deeply understand our consumers. What motivates them and what struggles and challenges do they face in that creative process. Only when we really understand that we can make sure that we offer them what they need…” So, to understand this creative process and their needs she invited a few Colart employees who are passionate about art.
Ben, Barry and Jan shared their stories with us and spoke about the role art plays in their lives.
