Manufacturing Week Culminates in Townhall Takeover
The Townhall Takeover on 18th April marked the conclusion of Manufacturing Week, during which key stakeholders from all manufacturing sites convened for strategic planning sessions at both the Snazaroo site in Minehead and the London Hub.
Chief Manufacturing Officer Dominique Murzeau hosted the townhall, leading an engaging discussion with Cathy Peng, Financial Director from China; Stephane Baudat, Group Quality Manager; Arnaud Coudray, Head of Health and Safety; and Gregory Malet, Group Purchasing Director.
Dominique emphasised the global reach of their operations and the team's commitment to ensuring safe, cost-effective, and timely production while continuously improving processes.
Throughout the three-day event dubbed "Manufacturing Week," the team participated in discussions and workshops aimed at assessing current performance, enhancing manufacturing maturity, and embracing industry advancements such as Industry 5.0. This emphasised the integration of technology, sustainability, and human-centric approaches. Arnaud underscored our unwavering commitment to achieving zero accidents, outlining a strategy centered on behavior, leadership, and positive communication.
Quality management, led by Stephane, remains a cornerstone of our operations, with a focus on standardisation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across manufacturing sites. Gregory detailed ongoing efforts to drive positive change through automation, process optimisation, and cultural transformation, highlighting the importance of overcoming resistance to change and fostering a culture of innovation.
Finally, Cathy, representing the finance team, outlined financial objectives aligned with cost optimisation and shared insights into cost reduction initiatives for the current and upcoming years.
Dominique concluded the town hall by expressing gratitude to the team for their dedication and stressing the importance of incremental improvement to sustainably achieve safe, high-quality production.
