Town Hall Meeting: Friday 24th June 2022
Last week was Refugee Week, representing a UK -wide festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. The celebration of this growing global movement was perfectly timed with our Town Hall Meeting guests. In conversation with our resident artist Stephanie Nebbia, we welcomed local London artist and Hands On Art Programme director Lisa Milroy, alongside Joy Maraka, Education Assistant from the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya.
Our partnership with the Hands On Art Programme started in 2019 with the first shipment of donated art products sent to the Kakuma Refugee Camp. Coordinated through the Sustainability team, our charity donation programme contributes to our overall Sustainability strategy and goals. Through this programme, we can donate discounted stock that would otherwise be disposed of. Instead, it is repurposed and provides vital tools and resources for art education-related charities, schools and community-based organisations around the globe.

News from the CEO
Moments of inspiration from Dennis this week nicely linked with Stephanie Nebbia. She facilitated Dennis's representation as a judge in the 2022 MullenLowe NOVA Awards for Fresh Creative Talent, hosted by education partner University of Arts London, UAL. Not being a person craving the limelight, Dennis told us this event lifted him out of his comfort zone to be an artist critique and awards judge.
