Townhall: Driving a Performance Culture through the PDR
In this edition of our Townhall, led by Romain Guinier, the focus was on fostering a performance-driven culture within the company. The discussion centered around enhancing performance development reviews (PDRs) to align individual and team behavior with company objectives.
Romain announced several business updates, noting that although the first quarter was acceptable, April was challenging with a 2% decrease in net sales. Nonetheless, May is expected to be strong, driven by market strategies and sales in North America and the international zone.
The meeting also introduced Jane Beeston, Harsa Beagley and Anthony Taylor, who discussed improving the performance review process. Simplifying the review procedure is a key goal, with changes including straightforward mid-year reviews and less form-filling. Emphasis is being placed on open, quality conversations between managers and employees. The 360 feedback will be streamlined for better behavioral measurement for the end of year review. Additionally, coaching training for people leads and the global mentoring program will be key supporting frameworks for individual growth and development.
Romain closed the Townhall by summarising several June initiatives, such as planning for 2026 with brand development, releasing an impact report, and hosting a global procurement conference. Romain also mentioned a recent Lindengroup conference that highlighted the importance of adapting to a changing, polarised world while upholding company values with the plan to hold a subsequent Townhall on this subject.
