Town Hall Meeting for Friday 9th December 2022
Explore, Play, Create. was the theme for this town hall meeting as we took you "live" to the UK's largest art store, GreatArt, in Shoreditch, London.
Our Guest host, Head of Retail Experience Amelia Macdonald from the Shopper Marketing team, demonstrated the Winsor & Newton Graphic Art Pop-Up alongside guests Emma Mills, National Account Manager Stephanie Nebbia, Global TFAC Manager and artist partner Andrew Carter.
The Pop-Up concept stemmed from conversations with shoppers and from trends through insights that told us that, more and more, our consumers need to emotionally engage with our brands. The result delivers an engagement toolkit that can repeatedly pop up at events or in-store. And, therefore Pop-Down as the same equipment is used each time.
The success of this initiative was seen earlier this year, with the concept being shortlisted and then runner-up in the Creative Retail Awards. Colart sat side-by-side with Chanel No. 5, Heineken and Heathrow Airport. Missed that piece of news? Then read the article by clicking here.
Moments of Inspiration
Dennis included two moments of inspiration this week.
First moment of inspiration
He is currently reading Rilke: The Last Inward Man by Leslie Chamberlain. Dennis mentions that he read the works of the poet Rilke while living in Paris, just after his days at university. He describes Rilke as "being famous for his way in approaching life; setting out to achieve a more fulfilled and less anxious life through his metaphorical, mystical and spiritual way of describing people, love and beauty that never dies".
Second moment of inspiration
Dennis said his second moment of inspiration is "YOU". Reflecting on the year, he noted three important things for 2022:
- We achieved the highest-ever employee satisfaction eNPS score
- We achieved the highest-ever customer satisfaction NPS score
- We achieved the best-ever score for preference of brand by professional artists
Other achievements that Dennis highlighted included:
- Our P11 finance results reflect that through our savings programme, we will hit our preference number
- We have hosted 15 town halls this year
- Snazaroo is hitting and beating budget
- Le Mans labour efficiency has remained above 100%
- Digital targets (e.g. email subscribers and click-through rates) have been hit by almost all brands.
great town hall and really good to see some fresh faces to the town hall platform – well done Amelia, Emma and Steph!
