Mentoring
Welcome to the Colart Mentoring Programme
“The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image
but giving them the opportunity to create themselves“
Steven Spielberg
At Colart we really believe in thebelieve in the transformative power of personal and professional development. To foster this growth, we introduced the Mentoring Scheme as part of the Colart Academy at the end of 2017, which has been thriving ever since.
Mentoring is a dynamic, collaborative learning partnership between two individuals—a Mentor and a Mentee—where both parties share experiences, interests, and engage in meaningful discussions on various issues and questions. This approach can significantly enhance the development of both participants, offering substantial benefits to both the Mentee and the Mentor.
This relationship is mutually beneficial, with the Mentor playing a crucial role in nurturing the Mentee. Through a series of confidential one-on-one conversations and other learning activities, the Mentor supports the Mentee in achieving their goals and honing their skills. Built on a foundation of mutual trust and respect, this partnership requires active listening and open sharing from both sides and is applicable across all professional levels.
Mentors are typically driven by a genuine desire to assist others, while Mentees recognise the potential for growth that can be unlocked through guidance.
Ultimately, everyone involved benefits and learns. Above all, it enhances internal networks and fosters collaborative relationships, reinforcing something we value deeply—connection and cooperation.
But, above all it builds effective internal networks as well as developing collaborative relationships – something that we know is important to our people.
In 2022, we expanded our Mentoring Scheme to incorporate a focus on language skills. This initiative has allowed Team Members in Europe to enhance their language proficiency through collaboration with colleagues in North America and the UK, simultaneously enriching cross-border cultural understanding.
We firmly believe that mentoring accelerates and deepens both business advancement and individual growth for both Mentors and Mentees.
